Copy/Paste map elements

Is there currently an option to copy or transfer overlay items to a different map?

If I want to make a new map, but use the same overlays, the only way is to remake them all on the new map. this is a huge waste of time when the overlay items have already been customized, but are worthless if I try to make a new map and use the same items there. Please help.

You can copy the map project by clicking the "Save As" button in horizontal toolbar to save the map project in another project name.
You can then open the copied map project and edit it

that is not what I'm talking about. my question is, How can I change the map template and keep the same overlay items?

If you want to create new map using another map template, you have to add the overlays again as they are templates in different shapes, size, and latitude / longitude values.

you know, that can be fixed if the template is given a "zeroing" value for a starting point. all the longitude/latitude points can then be given a relative location to this "zero" reference point. Please pass this on to the developers. It should not be difficult to implement. thank you.
